Welcome to the Community Canine Project (CCP) blog! Our organization is the volunteer-run, shelter division of Almost There Foster Care!

Made up of individuals from varying backgrounds, CCP has experienced individuals with an array of skills. From animal cruelty investigations to photography, social media to events, dog behavior to Certified Professional Dog Trainers, our team of dedicated volunteers is well-rounded and committed to helping the dogs in our community in many ways. CCP was born out of the desire to create an organization that is truly centered around an entire volunteer group as a whole, no bosses, no board. Each volunteer contributes to the organization and CCP gives individuals the opportunity to spend their valuable free time doing what they want, when they want to do it…but supported by their peers. It also gives the group a platform to fundraise together on behalf of the shelter dogs and choose together how to best spend the money. This organization is unique in so many ways and we look forward to sharing updates on our programs, projects and focuses through this blog. Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in Community Canine Project!
