We Believe In shelter dogs

We are a volunteer-run 501c3 non-profit organization based in Maricopa County. Community Canine Project was created as a way for a dedicated group of individuals to come together and provide support to our municipal shelter and comfort to the dogs within their walls through in-shelter enrichment, day-fostering + group dog walks, playgroups, photography, networking and much more – we are better together.

CCP celebrated its 6 month anniversary and we are incredibly proud of all we have accomplished in such a short period of time. Check out this video created by our very own Richard Courtney.

In just one year, CCP has teamed up with Two Pups Wellness Fund to sponsor the cost of Return To Owner (RTO) microchips monthly – every single dog that is reunited with its owner receives a free microchip to quickly reunite them with their family in the future. With social media supporters CCP  does a monthly match of enrichment items. Lastly, CCP was approached at the end of 2019 to contribute to a large dog park at the Maricopa County municipal shelter. $10,000 was allocated to help make this project a reality alongside other contributors.

how you can help

Our organization relies solely on the generosity of our supporters. Our team of volunteers looks forward to continuing to do as much as we possibly can for the dogs in our community and we appreciate donations in any amount to help continue this important work.

We Support Our Community Shelter

Our volunteer-run organization is made up of individuals from all walks of life. The people in this group don’t necessarily share the same views or personal interests, but what we all have in common is a deep respect for dogs, and the people who care for them.
